Cowboys & Southern Belles - Scarlett Sky
Cowboys and Southern Belles is what happens when Texas manners collide with bad judgment and everybody keeps going anyway. There are rodeo clowns running toward bulls, poker players wagering land and family heirlooms, bachelor parties wandering too close to Laredo, and funeral boots turned backward in the stirrups because even death down South has a dress code.
The roads are long, the oil towns sometimes disappear, Louisiana can poison you with crawfish before Bourbon Street finishes the job, and an old kitchen sink can outlive the house built around it.
Scarlett watches all of it from somewhere between the card table and the funeral procession. She knows the cowboys are going to make another bad decision. She also knows somebody will bring food afterward.
That is the South in this album: absurd, ceremonial, stubborn, dangerous, funny, and still moving when common sense has already gone home.
