Rodeo Fool — Scarlett Sky
From the album Cowboys & Southern Belles
The crowd laughs. The bull doesn’t.
“Rodeo Fool” is a dark Texas swing story about the men who run toward trouble when everyone else is trying to get out of the way.
The rodeo clown is built around contradiction: part comic relief, part emergency response, part lunatic courage. He wears the paint, takes the joke, watches the gate, and when a rider hits the dirt, he becomes the one person in the arena willing to make the bull change direction.
Scarlett Sky tells the story from the rail, where the difference between foolishness and bravery lasts only a few seconds.
