THREE DAYS BURNING — Heart Trumps — Scarlett Sky

THREE DAYS BURNING — Scarlett Sky

A storm cancels the flights. Three days disappear with it.

They meet at an airport while the runway drowns under rain. Both have marriages, children, homes, and perfectly functioning lives waiting somewhere else.

Neither one is looking for trouble.

Naturally, trouble arrives.

Three Days Burning is about the kind of love that does not ask permission and does not stay long enough to become ordinary. Three days of coffee after midnight, lightning against the windows, stories about children, borrowed hours, and the growing certainty that none of it can be kept.

Then the storm clears.

The flights resume.

They go home.

Nothing changes.

Except everything that cannot be explained.

From the album Heart Trumps — Scarlett Sky.

For: airport romances, impossible timing, brief affairs, distant thunder, missed connections, and anyone who has ever had three days become much larger than three days.
