Everybody Loves Money Flowing — Scarlett Sky
From the album Everybody Loves Money
She was told artists are bad at ordinary life.
So she took her songs, her sketches, a coffee cup, and went to work.
Everybody Loves Money Flowing follows an artist who discovers that strangers are perfectly willing to pay for music, drawings, portraits, and whatever else catches their attention — no manager, no grand plan, no permission required.
By lunchtime she is counting Franklins. By Friday she has regulars. A lawyer buys his favorite song, a banker orders portraits, a florist pays in roses, a baker pays in bread, and the artist starts wondering whether she should simply charge more.
Meanwhile, somebody keeps explaining contracts, representation, ambition, portfolios, and the proper way money is supposed to arrive.
She prefers the coffee cup.
“Everybody loves money flowing,
Everybody wants some too.”
A Scarlett Sky cabaret story about art, cash, independence, customers, and the very practical pleasure of getting paid directly.
