Chicago Keeps the Lakefront — Scarlett Sky — Chicago Gang Swing

Chicago Keeps the Lakefront — Scarlett Sky

Chicago Keeps the Lakefront is a moody Chicago swing number about memory, territory, and the parts of a city that remain after the people, deals, and nights have moved on.

Set against Lake Michigan, wet pavement, distant lights, late trains, old clubs, and streets that seem to remember more than they should, the song treats the lakefront as Chicago’s permanent witness. Money changes hands, loyalties change sides, romances collapse, and reputations disappear. The shoreline stays exactly where it was.

Smoky, reflective, and edged with noir, Chicago Keeps the Lakefront belongs to Scarlett Sky’s Chicago Gang Swing collection — original songs inspired by old Chicago, told through cabaret noir, swing rhythm, dark humor, and a modern point of view.
