PLEA MY NAME — Scarlett Sky
He called it love. She eventually checked the paperwork.
He said she was the one, right up until he admitted she had mostly been convenient. A place to land. A familiar voice. Someone close enough to keep the silence away while he figured out what he actually wanted.
Unfortunately, there was a child involved, which tends to make disappearing less elegant.
Plea My Name is about the moment the fog finally clears and a woman realizes she was not standing inside a love story at all. She was standing inside somebody else’s arrangement.
The glass clears. The excuses stop working. The thunder does the rest.
He can rewrite the history if he likes.
She remembers what happened.
And eventually, he will remember her name too.
