Plastic, Plastic — Scarlett Sky
From the album Everybody Loves Money
One black card, and suddenly Thursday morning can become Monte Carlo by night.
Plastic, Plastic follows a woman who has discovered the cleanest form of luxury: somebody else receives the statement.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Private shopping rooms at Saks. Tea at Neiman Marcus. Jewel appointments, champagne, suites above the Mediterranean, and a jet booked because Texas feels a little small that morning.
She does not care about balances, dividends, or watching numbers grow. She likes what money does when it removes inconvenience.
“Plastic, plastic, life’s fantastic,
Black card makes it automatic.”
A glossy Scarlett Sky cabaret song about black-card living, private service, expensive habits, and the particular pleasure of loving other people’s plastic.
