Every girl is warned about bad men. Nobody warns her about Mr. Merit Hopings.

He arrives looking like a reward for good behavior: polished manners, expensive shoes, dangerous eyelashes, and just enough promise to make poor judgment feel sophisticated. Mr. Hopings is made almost entirely of potential — potential to call, potential to become sensible, potential to explain Barcelona, potential to sort out that temporary financial complication.

Then comes the harvest.

Because somewhere beneath the charm, the promises, and the impressive wingspan, Mr. Merit Hopings is usually carrying a magnificent crop of lemons.

This Graphic Mischief puzzle turns the whole problem into something more useful: a dense, surreal garden of lemons, moonlight, checkerboards, impossible architecture, strange creatures, and one airborne gentleman who probably should not be trusted with your calendar.

The experienced woman does not attempt repairs. She takes the lemons, adds sugar, pours herself a drink, and finishes the puzzle.

Enjoy the show?

Toss something in Scarlett’s tip hat and help keep the Cabaret running—new songs, Noirtic Tales, videos, artwork, Graphic Mischief, and the continued feeding of one increasingly spoiled green Muser.

Consider it a small contribution toward keeping the music playing, the stories coming, and Scarlett Sky’s next bad idea properly funded.
