Johnny Valentine — Scarlett Sky — Chicago Gang Swing

Johnny Valentine — Scarlett Sky

Johnny Valentine is a sleek Chicago swing number about charm, reputation, and the kind of man who can make romance sound respectable right up until the trouble arrives.

Set among late-night clubs, polished shoes, expensive suits, cigarette smoke, and Chicago streets that remember everybody’s business, the song follows a man whose name sounds sweeter than his intentions. Johnny knows how to enter a room, how to make himself memorable, and how to leave somebody else dealing with the consequences.

Smooth, dangerous, and slightly amused by its own bad judgment, Johnny Valentine belongs to Scarlett Sky’s Chicago Gang Swing collection — original songs inspired by old Chicago, told through cabaret noir, swing rhythm, sharp characters, and a modern point of view.
